Our first day in Taiwan, it began to rain. Typhoon Marakot showed up just to welcome us to Taiwan. We went to Taipei 101, the once tallest building in the world to make lunch reservations for our anniversary at a restaurant on the 85th floor. Next, we went to a German beer place under the Eslite mall and had a dunkel. We had some beef noodle soup. Later, we made our way to the National History museum, looked at some artifacts, clay soldiers and drank coffee at a cafe overlooking the botanical gardens and lily pond. Marakot began to pick up while we were walking in the gardens, and we went home because we were totally soaked and had no umbrella. we went home and passed out early because of jet lag.
